Turner, Dr. Donald L. It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Dr. Turner on October 10, 2021. He was 86 years young. He was born in Dayton, Ohio on February 14, 1935 to Leo Henry and Larenna (Eickoff) Turner. He graduated from the University of Dayton in 1957 where he studied Pre-Med before going on to the College of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery in Des Moines, Iowa where he graduated in 1961. After graduation, Dr. Turner began his practice as a Family Physician in Huber Heights, Ohio and retired after 54 years of dedicated service to his patients and his community. He also served as a past president of the Ohio Osteopathic Association. He is preceded in death by his Daughter Stephani, his parents, Brother Gerald Turner and Brother-in-law Joseph Herlihy. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Judy (Moylan); three children, Scott Turner (Susan McNulty), Stacy Remke (John) and Sean Turner (Emily); Grandchildren Kelley (Turner) Turpin, Reece McNulty, Shannon McNulty, Bode Turner; Great-granddaughter Leighton Turpin; Brother Dennis Turner (Kathy); Sister Caroline "Terri" Herlihy and 12 nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held at St. Charles Borromeo Parish, 4500 Ackerman Boulevard, Kettering, Ohio 45429 on Friday, October 22, 2021. Visitation will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 am, followed by a church mass and private interment. The family would like to extend a very special thanks to the staff members of Kettering Medical Center and Graceworks Lutheran Services for their exceptional care, kindness and compassion. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to the Multnomah Athletic Foundation c/o Stephani Turner Scholarship and swim program, 1849 SW Salmon St, Portland OR 97205 or to one's favorite charity. Dr. Turner gave tireless efforts to a wide variety of organizations and causes. Whether it was providing volunteer health care to the people of Appalachia or serving as the team physician for the Wayne High School football team, he would donate his time without hesitation.
