Rosa Lee Brown, age 87, of Fort Worth, Texas passed away on Tuesday, October 5, 2021. Rosa Lee Brown affectionately known as Sister was born on September 14, 1934 in Portland, Arkansas. She was the daughter of the late Guy and Mary Bass Sr. She completed her early education in Portland, Arkansas where she was the valedictorian of the class of 1953, and the caption of her high basketball team. In 1954 she relocated to Chicago, Illinois. In 1955 she brought a beautiful baby girl into the world the late Patricia Ann Wilson. In 1956 she met Mr. Junius Brown and in 1957 they married and to that union 5 beautiful children were born Denise, Cynthia, Gregory, Yvonne and Darryl. She was employed at Spiegel and worked as a order processor and she also worked at Northwestern Children's Memorial Hospital as a custodian. And she worked for the city of Fort-Worth as a crossing guard ,Which she very much loved children. In 1987 Rosa Lee moved to Fort Worth, Texas and made it her home until God called her home on October 5, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. She worked for Fort Worth ISD as a crossing guard at Sunrise Elementary until retirement in 2004. She was a active member of New Life Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Williams where she served on the usher board. She later became a member of New Greater Morning Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Nathaniel Wilson. Rosa Lee was a true fashionista that loved shoes and hats. She was also a avid gardener. She was known to help people and the school children always ask about her , when she got sick and was no longer there to cross the children. Rosa Lee favorite scripture was 23rd Psalms. Rosa Lee was preceded in death by her parents Guy Sr. and Mary Bass, her grandparents, her siblings Roosevelt Bass , Guy Bass Jr., Lonza Bass, Jimmy Bass and Shirley Alexander. Her oldest daughter Patricia Wilson and her husband Willie Wilson. As the legacy continues, countless memories will be cherished by Denise Townsend (WC) of Chicago, Cynthia Brown-Bundage (Robert) of Fort Worth, Gregory Brown of Fort Worth, Yvonne Grayson (Paris) of Oklahoma and Darryl Brown (Patricia) of Chicago.
