Anita Gail Snyder, Born Feb 15, 1945 in Harrison, AR to Paul and Louise Bonham. She died October 12, 2021 in Morrilton AR. She was 76. She was preceded in death by her father and mother.
Gail is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Terry, daughter Mandy Massey (Mike Massey), son Randy Snyder, granddaughter Avery Carter, and grandsons Logan Carter, Macklin Massey, and Sawyer Snyder.
She grew up in Crane, MO until her family moved to Mountain Home, AR in 1963. She graduated from high school there, and went to college at Southwest Missouri State University (now Missouri State University) in Springfield, MO where she studied vocal arts. She traveled to Europe with the Chamber Singers from the college, visiting and singing in several concert halls across the country.
She returned home to start her teaching career in Niles, MI, with her best, and lifelong, friend, Jeanie Raney. In Niles, she met the love of her life, Terry Snyder, and the two were married on Aug 23, 1969, and their love and devotion to one another continued for 52 years.
She and Terry returned to Mountain Home to start their family and be closer to her parents. She continued her career in music education, teaching for 41 years, and inspiring countless listeners with her vocal mastery and talent. She sang and directed in several church choirs, her faith and devotion to God and Christ were the core of her being.
Gail loved her family and friends with all of her huge heart, and she will be missed dearly. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for memorials to your favorite charities or First United Methodist Church in Morrilton, AR.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 15, at First United Methodist Church with Pastor Bill Sardin officiating. Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home.
