Mary was born on September 24, 1919 and passed away on Monday, January 23, 2006.

Services for Mary Irene Farley, 86, of Lubbock, were at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, January 26, 2006, at Greenlawn Church of Christ with Jack Cummings officiating. Music will be by The Hallelujah Chorus. Burial is under the direction of Sanders Funeral Home.

Mrs. Farley was born in Van Alstyne, Texas in 1919. She married Claude Allen Farley in Alanreed, Texas in 1938. He died in 1974.

They were both teachers, he an elementary principal and she a kindergarten teacher. She received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education with a teaching field in Spanish. She taught kindergarten in Merkel for five years, and then the family moved to Lubbock where she taught kindergarten for 24 years for the Lubbock Christian Schools.

Survivors are a daughter and son-in-law, Patsy and Carroll Garner of Levelland; a son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Cindy Farley, of Blanco, Texas; five grandchildren, Julie Kientzle, Brent Miller, Tim Miller, Paige Bentley and Corbett Farley; six great-grandchildren, and a sister, Edith Boyd and husband Lindsey Boyd of Bradenton, Florida.

Family members suggest memorials be sent to Camp Blue Haven Director, Michael McCoy, 1020 Austin Ave., Brownwood, Tx. 76801.
