Kathy Guthrie, age 61, of Ball Ground, passed away Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at Piedmont Mountainside Hospital. Mrs. Guthrie was cremated and no services are planned at this time. Kathy was a member of New Light Baptist Church. She enjoyed the mountains and being around horses. Kathy was considered a true helping hand. She loved to volunteer and believed in the helping and supporting Native Americans. In her later years she enjoyed flying and always had a passion for music, especially Rock-n-Roll. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Glenn Guthrie; two daughters, Gwynne Mountz (Johnny) and Lauren Coleman (Nic); three grandchildren, Alex Mountz, Fiona Coleman and Jackson Coleman; special sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Beverly Darby (Terry) and special niece, Deanne Broach (Derrick).
