William "Bill" Panczak
April 9, 1953 – September 22, 2021

William "Bill" C. Panczak, Jr. was born in New Haven, Conn. in 1953, the eldest of five children. His parents, William Sr. and Margaret "Peg" Panczak, moved to Lake Worth, Fl. in 1954. Bill grew up in Lake Worth playing baseball as a teenager and surfing the Lake Worth Pier, ultimately graduating from Lake Worth High School in 1971.

In 1973, he moved to London, England, where he met his future wife of thirty-six years, April.

They moved back to Lake Worth in 1974 just prior to having their first of two sons, Billy. Bill, April, and Billy began their family on Columbia Dr., in Lake Worth. This address, where Bill Sr. and Peg lived, would go on to be the cornerstone for many multi-generational Panczak family memories for years to come. Seven years later, in 1981, and in their own home in West Palm Beach, Bill and April welcomed their second son, Brian.

Throughout his life, Bill was surrounded by his loving family; some of whom are now only with us in spirit: His grandfather, Peter J. Geenty, and grandmother, Margaret "Granny Powers" Geenty, who passed away in 1969 and 1993, respectively. His Dad and Mom, who passed away in 2007 and 2015, respectively. His youngest brother, Michael Sr. "Bull", passed away this year. His uncle, Walter Cich, and aunt, Patricia Cich, who passed away in 1998 and 2016, respectively; and, extended family members in Connecticut, who are not forgotten.

He is survived by his two sons; Billy (Wendy) and Brian (Kristen); two grandchildren, Delaney and Patrick; three siblings, his loving sister Margaret "Peggy" Anne Kemp, Stephen Sr., and James Sr.; as well as cousins (especially Pretty Patti), nieces, and nephews. And forever holding Bill in her heart is his wife of thirty-six years, April.

Bill took great pride in his family, especially his sons, who he coached in baseball as they were boys. He was an avid sports fan, perpetually disappointed by the Miami Dolphins. He enjoyed the water and reflected fondly of memories canoeing, boating, surfing, and snorkeling the waters of Florida and the Bahamas with his family. Bill was an excellent acoustic guitar player and he had a beautiful singing voice. He was passionate about music, a passion shared by his sons, as they often attended concerts together. He was a character with a big smile and a great sense of humor. He could hold a conversation with anyone and enjoyed making others laugh.

Bill will be missed by those who knew the man he truly was; one filled with love and affection. He could be a hero at times.
