He was a proud Vietnam War Veteran who proudly served in the United States Army. He enjoyed his work retiring after many years of service from Lowes Home Improvements. He was an avid sports fan especially for the Dallas Cowboys. He also enjoyed spending time at White Lake and wood working when time allowed. Donald most loved spending precious time with his family, especially with his grandchildren. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 12 years, Sandra Smith Holland of the home; sons, Chris Holland (Kim), Jacob Holland (Angie); stepson, Michael "Lee" Stubbs (Nicole) and stepdaughter, Andrea Stubbs (Jerry); his mother, Evelyn Holland; brothers, Darrell Holland, Danny Holland (Linda); sisters, Thelma Wright, Carolyn Norton, Helen Garrett; grandchildren, Benjamin Holland (Savanah), Haley Marion (Brandon), Brittany Willard, Natalie Holland, Riley Holland, Seth Holland, Jayden Locklear, Kinston Locklear, Isabella Stubbs, Emma Stubbs, and his great granddaughter, Caroline, expected in December. Donald is also survived by a host of many nieces, nephews, and loving friends.
A Graveside service with military honors will be at Noon, on Friday, October 15, 2021 in Hillside Memorial Park officiated by Rev. Crystal Blue. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at graveside.
