James Raymond Howell, age 75, Pleasanton, Kansas passed away on Monday, October 4, 2021. He was born in Pleasanton on October 16, 1945 the son of Raymond and Thelma Henderson Howell. He graduated from Pleasanton High School. He later attended Pittsburg State University Vo-Tech. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War as a Fuel System Mechanic. He was united in marriage to Rosetta Shidler on February 20, 1971. To this union five children were born. James held many different jobs during his working career. He worked on the La Cygne Power Plant Tower, Frisco Railroad, Sugar Creek Bacon Factory, Klein Tool, and Wal Mart. He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant son, James Raymond Howell, Jr., and a brother, Fred Howell. James is survived by four daughters, Christine Beagel(Brent), Melissa Aiello(Rick), Teresa Howell, and Amy Howell, a brother, Lloyd Howell, ten grandchildren, Sarah, Aaron, Domanick, Mary, Sylvanna, Kyrie, Ashley, Lacey, Kyle, and Clarissa and six great grandchildren.

Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at the Fort Scott National Cemetery.
