Mrs. Brenda Jane Townzen Lyons of Red Oak, OK. passed away on Thursday, December 6th, 2007 peacefully at Muskogee, OK.
Mrs. Lyons was born in San Jose, California on Octomber 19, 1955, the daughter of the late Abraham Townzen (1918 - 1976) and Gladys Marie Sloss (1924 - 2001) Townzen. She was a Mental Health Advisor.
She was the wife of Allen Lyons and they were married on June 30, 1972 in San Jose, California.
She is survived by: Tiffany and Jim Gross of Enid, OK; son, Shawn Lyons of Red Oak, OK.
She is also survived by 4 grandchildren, and 4 step granndchildren; sisters, Sue Getz of Phoenix, Arizona; Melody and Richard Howard of San Francisco, California; Sandra Bessent of Red Oak, Oklahoma; Robin and Derick Lindahl of Salem, Oregon; Marie and Dean Crowell of Holdenville Oklahoma; brother, Allan and Grace Townzen of Chico, California.
She is preceded in death by her parents and one grandson Tye Allen Lyons (2000 - 2007).
Services were held at the Bob Waldrop Memorial Chapel, Wilburton, Oklahoma at 2:00p.m. on Saturday, December 8th, with Rev. Pete Faver officiating. The burial followed in Red Oak Cemetery, Red Oak, Oklahoma. Services were held under the direction of the Waldrop Funeral Home, Wilburton, Oklahoma.
