Geraldine "Geri" Parker Jenkins Brown, age 91, of St. Augustine, Florida died October 2nd, 2021 at Silver Creek Senior Living Community. Geri was born April 29th, 1930 in Stillmore, Georgia to Boykin Ellis and Sarah Jane (Slater) Parker. Geri had been a resident of St. Augustine for 15 years. Prior to that, she had lived in Atlanta, Georgia. Geri graduated with Masters' Degrees, one in Home Economics and the other in Early Child Education from Georgia Southern University. She retired as a teacher in Georgia and later moved to Florida. In addition to her parents, Geri was preceded in death by her first husband, Samuel Eugene Jenkins, a husband, Maxi C. Brown, a sister, Mary Jane Parker, a brother, Boykin Ellis Parker, Jr., a sister, Bettye Louise Kicklighter, and a son-in-law, Larry Barker. Geri is survived by a sister, Peggy Mosely and a brother-in-law, Jerry Kicklighter, two children, Beverly J. Barker, Samuel Eugene Jenkins, Jr. and his wife Margaret "Peggy", three grandchildren, Virginia Larissa Wendel and her husband Richard, William Jenkins, and Matthew Jenkins and his wife Michelle, three great grandchildren, Lenox Wendel, Anson Jenkins, and Violet Wendel, and two beloved dachshunds, Molly and Quincy. Services will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at St. Johns Family Funeral Home with Rev. John Fletcher officiating. A visitation, beginning at 10 am will precede the service. Interment will follow at Eastside Cemetery in Statesboro, Georgia on Thursday.
