She was born and raised May 20, 1944, in Erie, Michigan, to Irvin and Katherine Booth.
Edie devoted her entire life to her children where as to make it a point of emphasis to call them every day.
She loved to cook and share recipes, gardening and buying from QVC-TV. However, her passion was for country music as she loved to Karaoke. Edie was so passionate about her music that she was a frequent winner on K-100 radio for the "Lost Oldie Trivia" with Shore's and Steele.
Edith is survived by her fiancé, Dennis Prescott, with whom she had found love once again; daughter, Melissa (Mike) Hampton; son, Kenny Stamm; twelve grandchildren, several great-grandchildren; brothers, Bob and Richard Booth; sisters, Shirley Anderson and Margaret Brightbill.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lawrence "Sonny" Rose; daughter, Wanda Stamm; son, Douglas Kanag Jr.; brothers, Irvin, Lester and John Booth; and sister, Marie Booth.
Visitation will be on Friday, October 15, 2021, from 4-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer-West Sylvania Chapel, 3655 King Road, Toledo, Ohio 43617. The Funeral Service will begin at 10:000 a.m. on Saturday, October 16, 2021, followed by procession to Springfield Twp. Cemetery.
