Patrick Alan Baker, age 59, of Highland, died Thursday, September 30, 2021. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Julia; his four children: Megan (Kenneth) Hill, Lindsey (Jeremey) Sturdavant, Michael Baker, and Danielle (Dalton Christie) Baker; his four grandchildren: Kennedy Sturdavant, Sadie Hill, Gunner Sturdavant, and Kenneth Hill; his eight siblings: William Baker, Dennis Baker, Sherry Valentine, Sister Donna Baker, Michael Baker, Colleen Wilson, Linda Anderson, and Mary Beihl; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and close friends.

Patrick was born April 14, 1962, in Detroit, Michigan, the son of Mr. & Mrs. Leo and Virginia (Wyrauch) Baker. He was introduced to Julia Johnson by a mutual friend, and it was love at first sight! Patrick and Julia started dating, fell in love, and were married on June 4, 1983. Patrick began his career as a welder and fitter at West End Welding, and after eleven years he moved on to work at Commercial Fabricating in Highland for twenty eight years as a welder, fitter, and supervisor. Patrick has worked as a supervisor at Xigma Engineering for the past three years.

In his free time, Patrick could always be found working on different projects to keep him busy. He held fond memories of building the family cabin in Lake George with his children; and enjoyed spending time with them there. His family will always cherish the time they spent together on Sanibel Island in Florida, their "happy place." Patrick loved to be outdoors, whether it be hunting or fishing, or going for a ride on the pontoon with family and friends. Above all, Patrick was a loving, kind, giving man who loved to help people; he will forever be remembered for his selflessness and generosity. He will be greatly missed.

Patrick was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Virginia.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 6, 2021 from 3:00pm until 8:00pm and Thursday, October 7, 2021 from 4:00pm until 8:00pm at the Highland Chapel of the Elton Black & Son Funeral Home, 3295 E.
