Billie Jo Thomas, 63, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 9, 2021. She was born on January 14, 1958 in Knoxville, TN. Billie graduated from Seymour High School Class of '77. She was a woman of faith and enjoyed sharing the gospel with friends. She had a great companion in her dog, Ottis. Billie loved her grandchildren more than anything in this world. She will be missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Audrey "Cricket" McCarter Harrell; father, William "Sunshine" McCarter; sons, James "Jimmy" Thomas and Steven Wade Thomas; and brother-in-law, Jimmy Rowland.
Billie is survived by her daughter, Sharon Reed (David); grandchildren, Wesley Reed, Nicholas Reed, and Aoriah Thomas; siblings, Kenneth "Gene" Gibson (Ella), Anna Rowland, and Cookie Tedder (Steve); several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 PM Friday, October 15th with the funeral service to follow at 7 PM in the Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home, 122 Peacock Ct., Seymour, TN 37865.
