Mr. Jerry Dean Cook, 80, of Worth County, died on Monday, October 11, 2021 at his residence.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 15, 2021 at Pine Forest Baptist Church, interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. The Rev. Trey Brown will officiate.

Mr. Cook was born on April 27, 1941 in Logan County, WV, to the late Tracy Lee, and Elsie Mae Whisman Cook. He had lived in Worth County since 1992, and was a veteran having served in the United States Army. Mr. Cook retired from Miller Brewing Company in Albany, where he worked as a maintenance mechanic. He enjoyed tinkering in his shop, going to flea markets and woodworking. Mr. Cook enjoyed spending time with his friends and family.

Survivors include his wife, Valerie Bean Cook of Worth County; children, Tracy Lee Cook Stockslager (David Godwin) of Tallahassee, Teresa Cook Ayotte (Ron) of Albany, Michelle Cook VanLandingham (Clay) of Blairsville, GA and Scarlet Cook (Jonathan Edwards) of Baconton; grandchildren, Tony Capitolo, Lisa Bugbee, Jerry Thompson, William VanLandingham and 4 great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Cook was preceded in death by two brothers, Roger Blevins and Carroll Cook.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 10:00 AM until the service hour at Pine Forest Baptist Church.
