James Clayton Smith, Sr., a Nevada resident for the last 40 years. passed away, November 5, 2008 at home surrounded by his family and friends. "Jim" as born on January 22 1948 in Springfield, Tennessee.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Carol of Sparks; his daughter, Sheila (David) Gerhard; son, James Clayton Smith Jr. (Andrea); sister, Maurine Smith of San Jose, CA; brothers, Clifford, Jarville (J.D), Gary, Eugene and Landon all of Tennessee; grandchildren, Tayler and Sierra Gehard and Brandon, Anastasia and Alexandria Smith of Sparks and his brother in life, Wilbur Manning. He was preceded in death by his parents, Woodrow and Virginia and brother, Wendell.
At Jim's request there will be no services at this time. There will be a private family memorial next sumner.
