U.S. Air Force SSGT (Ret) Bobby Joe Wallace, 83 of Fayetteville, passed away Sunday, October 10, 2021 in his home with family by his side.

Born June 16, 1938 in Shreveport, LA, Bobby was the son of the late Dorson Edward Wallace and Beulah Mae Long Wallace. Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brothers, Phillip Lee Wallace and Dorson Edward Wallace, Jr.

He is survived by his wife, Eleanor Wallace; daughter, Wanda Britt and husband Gregory; son, Jimmy Wallace and wife Sue; son, John Wallace; grandchildren, Justin Wallace, Briana Ridenour and husband Chris, Kayleigh Jackson and husband Thomas, Brandon Wallace, Nicholas Britt, and Tamantha Wallace; great grandchildren, Allison Ridenour, Sophia Jackson, Danielle Ridenour, Colton Jackson, McKenzie Jackson; and a host of other family and friends.

Bobby served in the Armed Forces for a little over 20 years before retiring in June of 1976 from Pope Air Force Base in North Carolina. After retirement and in his spare time, he greatly enjoying spending time with his family, camping, and square dancing. He will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
