She was born June 25, 1931 in Cheyenne, WY to Clabe and Ethel L. Atchison Robinson. Dorothy married James Burl Jacobs on August 28, 1948 and he preceded her in death on January 25, 2004.
Dorothy had worked as a data entry operator for a credit checking company.
She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.
Surviving are her children, JoEllen Broadbend of Montclair, CA, and Julie Boyd of Ottumwa; 8 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren
She was preceded in death by 2 sons, Jim Jacobs and Jack Jacobs; a daughter, Janette Sheifer; her siblings, John and Levi Robinson, Leila Bix, Mary Cozart and Ruth Cole.
Visitation will be open at 11 a.m. Thursday, September 16th, at Reece Funeral Home with the family present to greet friends 4-6 p.m. Thursday.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, September 17th, at Reece Funeral Home with Pastor Jeremy Clark officiating. The service may be viewed on the Reece Funeral Home Facebook page.
Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery.
