She was born January 2, 1921 in Queen City, MO to L.J. and Gayle Conner Fletcher. She married James Emmett Snyder December 23, 1941 and he preceded her in death July 4, 1995.
Christine attended country schools while growing up in Moulton and Batavia, graduating from Bloomfield High School in 1938. She worked for J.C. Penney in Ottumwa, before moving to Kirksville, MO in 1954 and Lancaster, MO in 1957 where she worked for Gardine's Drug and then for Tri-County Electric, where she retired after 22 years.
Christine loved quilting, playing cards, was a great cook and especially loved her pets.
Surviving is her daughter, Karen (Gary) Pregon of Ottumwa.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Thelma Howard and her brother, Pearly Ray Fletcher.
Visitation will be open at 10 a.m. Sunday, September 26th at Reece Funeral Home with the family present to greet friends from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.
Graveside services and burial will be 3 p.m. Monday, September 27th at Ottumwa Cemetery with Pastor Mel Kendall officiating.
Memorials may be made to Hospice Serving Davis and Wapello Counties.
