David Carl Pearson, 57, of Ottumwa, died September 25, 2021 at his home.
He was born August 27, 1964 in Ottumwa to Dwain "Smiley" and Carole Decker Pearson. He married Robyn Graham Hirchak December 1, 2007.
A 1983 graduate of Ottumwa High School, Dave was a self-employed contractor and had worked for Keystone Automotive.
He loved playing poker, playing weekly with several poker groups as well as enjoyed going to the casinos. Dave also enjoyed collecting antiques and going camping.
Surviving is his wife, Robyn; a son, Adam Headley (Alexis Sidebottom), three step-children, Stacey (Paul) Munley, Sam Hirchak (Mallory Shafer) and Spencer Hirchak; his mother, Carole (Mel) Wadle of Blue Springs, MO; a brother, Drake (Juanita) Pearson of Mansfield, MO; a sister, Brenda (Tim) Mertz of Andover, NJ; two nephews and a niece along with many friends.
He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Mark Pearson.
His body has been cremated. A service to celebrate his life will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, September 30th at the Izaak Walton League, 11077 90th St, Ottumwa, IA.
