Elizabeth "Betty" Arthur Clements, 82, of Greenville, South Carolina passed away Tuesday May 29, 2018. Born in Newton, MA, on July 12, 1935 to parents, W. Albert and Virginia Hunt Arthur, Betty was raised in nearby Bedford until the age of 15 when her family relocated to Tenafly, NJ. She graduated from Tenafly High School in 1953 and in 1955 received a degree from Keuka College. After relocating to Rochester in 1955 she married James Bayley where she spent the next 18 years of her life. During that time Betty raised 2 sons Brad and Mark while also enjoying a career working for Eastman Kodak and Kern Medical practice as an Office Manager. Betty relocated to Dallas, Texas in 1976 where she resided for close to 40 years. During this time Betty was married to Mike Izon and then Gene Clements. Also, while in Dallas, Betty was a top producing realtor, an active member of Canyon Creek Presbyterian Church and an influential member of many local organizations in her community.

In 2011 Betty was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease and, as a result, later relocated to Ventura California in 2014 to be closer to her sons. In 2016 as Betty's condition progressed she relocated to Greenville where she was fortunate to spend her final years at the Haven in the Village at Chanticleer. We are forever appreciate for the tender and loving care to Betty in her final 2 ½ years. Betty is survived by her two sons, Mark Bayley of Canoga Park, CA and Bradford Bayley of Santa Barbara, CA; two grandchildren, Brittany Scott of Castaic, CA, and James Bayley of Santa Barbara, CA; brother, Bradford H Arthur of Greenfield, IN, and sister, Susan Arthur Seidel of Greenville, SC.

A Celebration of Life will take place at 11:00 AM on Saturday June 9, 2018, at First Presbyterian Church, 510 E. Curtis St., Simpsonville, SC 29681. Pastor Cassandra Wolfe Jackson will officiate.
