Mrs. Welch was born July 6, 1954 to the late Hughie Q. Bennett, Sr. and Marilyn Bennett in Crystal Springs, MS. She was a resident of the Harrisville Community all of her life where she was a member of Unity Baptist Church. She was a devout Christian and to her family, a loving wife and mother that kept everything and everyone together. The majority of her career was spent working as an insurance agent and bookkeeper for an insurance agency.
Along with her parents, she is also preceded in death by her siblings, Shirley Gilbert, Hughie "Butch" Bennett, Jr. and R.T. "Button" Bennett.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Randy Welch of Harrisville; her children, Prudence (Charles) Bridges of Harrisville, Missy (Charlie) Westmoreland of Harrisville and Randi Lynne (Jamey) Evans of Harrisville; siblings, Peggy Jackson of Florence, Robert Wayne "Chip" Bennett of Hazlehurst, and Tammy Mullins of Harrisville; grandchildren, Jordan (Steven) Ingram, Lexie Bridges, Mason Westmoreland, Makenzie Evans, Levi Westmoreland, and Tucker Evans; one great granddaughter, Stevie Jo Ingram; and a host of extended family and friends.
