Hellen Ruth Dunavin, 82, of Bradford, died Saturday, October 9, 2021 in Batesville. She was born April 1, 1939 in Bradford a daughter of the late Roy and Willie Marie (Buttrum) Stipes. Mrs. Dunavin was a homemaker and took pride in providing for her family. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed gardening, quilting and crocheting.
She is survived by her children, Deborah Kay Jennings, Gary Michael Dunavin, Imogene Dunavin, Fonda Mason (Doug), Darlene Cantrell (Larry) and Jo Ann Cantrell (Jerry); 2 brothers, Lavon Stipes and J.W. Stipes; 8 grandchildren, Laura Dunavin, Michael Dunavin, Mark Dunavin, Terry Mason, Jared Mason, Colton Cantrell and Kaitlyn Cantrell; great-great-grandchildren, Breanna Dunavin, Trace Dunavin, Zachary Mason, Jacob Mason and Allison Mason.
She was preceded in death by her husband, T.O. Dunavin; son, Terry Wayne Dunavin; daughter, Elizabeth Ann Davis and a son-in-law, Terry Dan Jennings.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the Powell Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Mike Kidd and Bro. Doug Swindle officiating. Visitation will be prior to services beginning at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in the Smith Cemetery at Bradford.
