Emma Martin, age 81, of Hemphill, Texas, passed away Saturday, October 9, 2021, at her residence.

She was born June 11, 1940, in San Augustine County, Texas, to parents Ollie Elizabeth (Evans) and Burbon Daniel Burns. She was a homemaker and nurse aide. She enjoyed spending time with her family and was a member of Little Flock Missionary Baptist Church.

Those left to cherish her memory include daughters Patty Page and husband Freddy of Hemphill, Cindy Worry and husband Joe Sr. of San Augustine; grandchildren Freddy Page Jr. and wife Sarah, Joe Worry Jr.,Cody Worry, Pamela Page; sister Octavia Tate Belt; brother Jessie Burns; 12 Great-grandchildren; 1 Great-great-grandchild. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Melvin Lee "Buddy" Martin; son Marcus Lee Martin; 11 siblings.

Graveside services will be held at Dickerson Cemetery, San Augustine County, Texas, at 2:00pm, Monday, October 11, 2021.

Pallbearers include Joe Worry Jr., Freddy Page Jr., Cody Worry, Kody Page, Craig Worry, Cindy Worry. Honorary Pallbearers are James Daniel Burns, Freddy Page.
