Kevin Lawrence Byrd was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on September 16, 1963 to parents Victor Byrd and Mary Harbin who both preceded him in death.

Kevin served in the U.S. Army for seven years as a vehicle mechanic. Following his military discharge, he was employed at UPS for several years and more recently, at Syncreon in logistics. He enjoyed his job and fellow co-workers immensely and was very proud of the safety awards he received.

He graduated from Lakeshore High School in College Park, GA and graduated from Griffin Technical College with a certificate in Automotive Technology. His favorite pastimes were spending time with family, music, computer technology, cars and dining at different restaurants.

Kevin leaves behind to cherish his memory his sister, Toni Long, sister-in-law, Mary (Ernest) Byrd; nephews Dee Long, Jr., Ernest (Nikki) Byrd, Jr., A.J. Byrd, and Quinton Marlow; nieces Angela (Daryl) Byrd-Davis, Christina Byrd, and Adrienne Carter; great-nieces Tonique (Keenen) Simon and Caitlyn Byrd; and two great-great nieces.

His brothers Ronald Byrd and Ernest Byrd, Sr. and sister Vicki Byrd, all preceded him in death.
