Howard Donald Jones, age 94, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma passed away on Thursday, October 7, 2021. Howard was born December 8, 1926 in Fort Cobb, Oklahoma to Carrie H. (Shultz) Blue Jones and George Monroe Jones. Howard grew up in Albert, Oklahoma. After the death of his Aunt Lizzie, the family moved to his grandparents (Shultz) farm to help his Uncle Bill take care of Dorothy & William. He attended Oney School up until the 7th grade. As a young boy, Howard attended Christian Church, where he was saved on a Sunday in Millie Hamilton's Sunday School Class. In 1950, Howard and his mother made their home in Oklahoma City. The two of them would live together up until her death in May of 1968. Howard's first job was with Horn Seed Co in Capitol Hill. Two years later, he took a maintenance position with the Oklahoma City Board of Education. After 24 loyal years with the Oklahoma City Board of Education, Howard was led to take another job at First United Methodist Church. He retired all together in 1993. Howard is survived by his nephew Richard T. Jones (Connie). He also leaves behind nieces and nephews. Howard was preceded in death by his mother Carrie H. (Shultz) Blue Jones and his father George Monroe Jones; his half brother Earl M. Blue; his half sister Leda Mae Blue; his half sister Irene Blue Emmerson; his brother Richard M. Jones; his brother Elmer Ray Jones; his brother George Samuel Jones; his half brother Homer Paul Jones; his sister Etta Lenora Jones Applegate; his brother Levi Walter Jones and his sister M. Amy Jones Snodgrass; his maternal grandfather Samuel D. Shultz (Irene Chamberlain Shultz), his cousin William Bennett (Betty), and his cousin Dorothy Ann Watson.
