Robert Harold Beck, 85, passed away on Friday October 8, 2021 surrounded by his family at Hinkle Hospice House.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 pm Wednesday October 13, at Holly Grove Lutheran Church Cemetery, by the Rev. Anna Carter, with military honors and the Davidson County Fire Honor Guard to follow.

The family will receive friends following the service at the grave or other times at the home.

Harold was born March 1, 1936 in Davidson County to Robert Trenton Beck and Helen Link Beck. He retried as shipping clerk with Stanley Furniture and was a member of Holly Grove Lutheran Church, and the Men's Lutheran Brotherhood. He served in the US Army and was a member American Legion Post 8, and Amvets Post 13. He also was an assistant Boy Scout leader and was former Assistant Chief of Holly Grove Fire Department where he served the Holly Grove Community for over 53 years. He loved to hunt and fish but most important thing to him was his grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his son, James "Jimmy" Harrison Beck, who passed away September 1, 2021, and his brother, Thomas Beck.

Left to cherish Harold's memory are his loving wife, Myra Russell Beck of the home; sons, Keith Beck (Mary Lynn) and Andy Beck (Hilda); his daughter, Donna Parks (Scott); grandchildren, Stephanie, Lauren, Sara, Drew, great-grandchildren, Trent, Ruby; brother, Doug Beck (Gayle); sister, Nancy Curry, and his extended family, Jodi Crotts Hernandez and sons, Phillip and Reid.
