Terry Lee Andrews, 66, of Battle Creek, passed away Saturday, September 25, 2021 at Glenn Arbor Hospice in Battle Creek. He was born June 7, 1955 in Battle Creek, MI the son of Jack E. and Kay (Sellers) Andrews. Terry was a man of many names: Andy, Terry Two Shirts, Mojo, Uncle Mailman, Big Brother, Papa, and Dad are just a few. He graduated from Lakeview High School and then enlisted in the U.S. Navy. While in the Navy he served on the USS Ramsey from 1973 to 1977 achieving the rank of Mess Management Second Class. He spent his career working for the U.S. Postal Service.
Terry had a passion for volunteering at the Battle Creek VA Medical Center, and taking care of the many birds there. He also enjoyed attending church, cooking, fishing, and campfires. He spent many years watching his children and their friends play sports. Terry loved spending time with his grandchildren and great granddaughters. He also had a soft spot for cats. Terry will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by one daughter: Jennifer Andrews; one son: Corey (Alyssa) Andrews; one brother: Larry (Joy) Andrews; four grandchildren: Colin (Mariah) Mcllvain, Brennan (Cristin) Banks, Madison Andrews, and Kendall Arredondo; two great grandchildren: Audrey Mcllvain and Evelynn Banks; special friends; Geri Bateman and Pat and Kelley Barney; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son Matthew Andrews; and his brother: Gary Andrews.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 6, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Bachman Hebble Funeral Service.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at 12:00 PM in the Bachman Funeral Chapel.
Burial will be at the Fort Custer National Cemetery in Augusta, MI.
Memorial tributes may be made to Southwest Hospice and All Species Kinship.
