Carolyn Myers, age 78, of Marriottsville, passed away suddenly at home on Tuesday, October 5, 2021.
Born December 2, 1942, in Bellefonte, PA she was the daughter of the late William C. Adams and Edith Hiles Adams. She was the loving wife of the late Doyle R. Myers.
Carolyn retired from the Social Security Administration as a Policy Analyst. She was a 1964 graduate of Penn State University and a Penn State football fan. She was a long time member and greeter at Wesley Freedom United Methodist Church. Carolyn was a volunteer at Carrolltowne Elementary School from 2015-2019 and was an avid member and volunteer at Freedom Fitness. She also enjoyed gardening, yard work, the beach and traveling and spending time with her friends Mary, Jeanne, Joanne, Joann, Janice, and Andrea.
She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law Michele Twilley of Sykesville, Mindy and Jay Hinsley of Marriottsville and Erin and Jason Hopwood of Chestertown; grandchildren: Palmer, Madelyn and Hanna and brother-in-law Mike Stensaas of Chicago, IL.
She was predeceased by sisters Honey Stensaas and Susan Adams.
A celebration of Carolyn's life will be held at 1:30 PM on Friday, October 29th at Wesley Freedom United Methodist Church, 916 Johnsville Road, Eldersburg, MD. Interment will be private.
