Elizabeth Ann "Liz" Huff, 81, of Nevada, Iowa, passed away at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines on Friday, October 8, 2021.
Liz was born January 29, 1940, in Nevada, Iowa, the daughter of Abner and Opal (Boten) Harlow. She attended school in Nevada and graduated from High School in 1958. She was United in marriage to Richard "Red" Huff on September 21, 1958, in the Nevada Christian Church.
Liz had worked for 22 as Para One-on-One Special Education Associate. She was a member of Nevada Christian Church, the Order of the Eastern Star, the Rainbow Girls, the P. Buckley Moss Society, a former Girl Scout Leader, and Jaycee-ettes. Liz enjoyed reading, gardening, sewing and cross stitching. She loved being a grandmother, not only to her own grandchildren, but to those who needed a "grandma" close by.
Liz is survived by her husband, Richard "Red" Huff of Nevada, Iowa; three daughters: Kathryn Ann "Kathy" Otto (David) of Maxwell, Iowa, Patricia Rierson Bevitt (Duane) of Cameron, North Carolina; Anita Sue Huff of Nevada, Iowa; her grandson and his family: Jacob and Jess Rierson and Ren and Fiona; and four step great-grandchildren: John, Nicholas, Kaylee, and Maddie.
Liz was preceded in death by her parents; a son-in-law: Matthew Rierson; a grandson: Kaleb Rierson, and her brother, James Harlow.
Graveside services will be 11:00 AM, Thursday, October 14, 2021, at the Nevada Municipal Cemetery.
