Funeral services for Terry Euell Carter will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, October 11, 2021, in Humble Baptist Church with Reverend Joe Wellman and Reverend David Ragland officiating. Committal service will follow in the Willis Flat Cemetery under the direction of White Oaks Funeral Home, Oakdale.
Visitation will be held in Humble Baptist on Sunday, October 10, 2021, from 4 p.m. until 10 p.m. and Monday, October 11, 2021, from 8 a.m. until time of service, 11 a.m.
Terry, 75, of Elizabeth, entered eternal rest on Friday, October 8, 2021, in Carencro. He was born July 21, 1946, in Bunkie to the union of Euell Ray Carter and Inez Chaffin Carter. Terry was a member of Humble Baptist Church for over 40 years. He loved his family and enjoyed spending as much of his time with them as he could. Terry enjoyed the simple things in life. He was fulfilled by traveling and enjoying singings as well as retreats.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Euell and Inez Carter; his wife of 43 years, Glenda Runell Carter; one grandson, Paul Shane Fontenot; and two sisters, Wanda Lou Lamke and Faye DeVille.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are three children: Emily Marcelene Lively (Alan) of Carencro, Robert Ray Carter (Jolie) of Pine Prairie, Donetta Sue Flaming (Mark) of Vidor, Tx; four grandchildren: Troy Carter, Connor Carter, Eric Denney, Georgia Carlisle; one great grandson, Nicholas Fisette; one future great grandson, Dawson Shane Carlisle; one brother, Larry Carter of Ville Platte; two sisters: Sadie Clark, Norma Jean Hebert (David), both of Pine Prairie; brother in law, Burton Lamke; along with a host of family and friends.
Pallbearers to serve will be Edwin DeVille, Justin Guillory, Matthew Willis, Troy Carter, Connor Carter, and David Hebert.
