Ruth Bartlett, 92, of Ripley, formerly of Ridgely, died Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at her daughters residence. Born October 7, 1928, she is the daughter of the late Clifford and Cecil Vickers Williams. She was a member of Calvary Hill Baptist Church. Mrs. Bartlett was the retired TDOC Food Steward Supervisor for the State of Tennessee

Graveside funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 8, 2021 at New Haven Cemetery officiated by Reverend Jessie Cavness.

The family will receive friends Thursday, October 7th from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the Ridgely Chapel and beginning at 10:00 a.m. Friday until service time.

Brad Cavness, Chad Bartlett, Chase Bartlett, Alan Howard, Joel Bartlett and TimBartlett will serve as pallbearers.

She is survived by her two daughters, Kay Cavness (Buddy) of Ridgely, Jacqueline Bartlett of Ripley; one son, Roger Bartlett of Brighton; six grandchildren, Candy Howard, Chad Bartlett, Brad Cavness, Joel Bartlett, Josh Stewart, Jennifer Swearingen; and fourteen great-grandchildren, Taylor Beasley, Chase Bartlett, Maggie Bartlett, Addey Beasley, Taylor Bartlett, Keri Swearingen, Connor Swearingen, Chandler Stewart, Kinsley Stewart, Tyler Stewart, Sophie Cavness, Haley Brooks, Ashtyn Howard and Karsyn Howard.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Cathy Abernathy, her three sisters, Annie Bargery, Mildred Bargery, Florence Smith, and six brothers, Arthur Williams, Oscar Williams, Earl Williams, Lewis Williams, Floyd Williams and McBride Williams.
