Cora Norton Graham passed away Thursday, October 7, 2021. She was born January 10, 1948 in Lundell, Arkansas to Jessie Norton and Annie Lee Harris. She was the youngest of eight children.

Cora accepted Christ as her Savior at a young age at Zion Travelers Church in Mellwood, Arkansas under the leadership of Rev. F.A. Simpson. She attended Elaine Elementary School and graduated from Lakeview High School. After graduation, she moved to Detroit, Michigan and then to Grand Rapids, Michigan. She worked at Osteopathic/Metro Hospital for several years and also worked at Coats & Aprons and Kmart. Cora moved back to Arkansas and married Albert Troy Graham on September 9, 1974. To this union one daughter, Yolonda, was born. After a brief stay in Lundell, Arkansas she returned to Grand Rapids to be closer to her sister. After spending several years there, she returned to Arkansas to be near her parents and to raise her daughter.

Cora attended True Vine Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Lonnie Whitfield, Sr. She was a faithful choir member and served on the Kitchen Ministry. In 2007, she moved to Conway, Arkansas and joined New Hope Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Dr. George Parks, Jr. where she remained a faithful member until her transition.

Cora enjoyed playing bingo, shopping, singing in the choir and spending time with her family. She also enjoyed a good laugh. She loved her family. She had a special relationship with her grands and great-grands. Cora was also a foster grandparent at Little Dumplings Childcare Center. All the littles loved Grandma.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Graham; parent, Jessie and Annie Lee Norton; step-mother, Addie Norton; brother, Willie Norton; and sisters, Ruth Fitzpatrick and Jessie Lee Braden.

Survivors: her only child, Yolonda Jackson (Roland); grandsons, Tyrique Jackson and Kingston Jackson; great-granddaughter, Avareigh Jackson; fiance to grandson, Briana Sanders and bonus great-granddaughter, Brielle Everette all of Conway, Arkansas; sisters, Earlean Kendricks of Grand Rapids, MI, and Charlean Jackson of Detroit, MI; brothers, Louis Norton (Geraldine) of Centerville, IL and Nathaniel Gordon of West Helena, AR; and many other relatives and friends.

Walk through visitation will be held Friday, October 15, 2021 from 1:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. at Veasley Funeral Home. Celebration of life service will be held Saturday, October 16, 2021, 12:00 P.M. at New Hope Baptist Church, 1232 Watkins Street, Conway, Arkansas.
