Steven Allen Massey
December 8, 1963 ~ October 3, 2021

Steven Massey, 57, was born December 8, 1963. He passed away October 3, 2021. He was born in Dover, Delaware and was later transplanted to Texas.

He graduated from high school in 1982 in Kerens, Texas. After high school, Steven enlisted in the United States Air Force and served for 3 years as a calibration technician. In 1987 he met the love of his life, Johnnieann Massey. They were married in 1994 and shared their lives together until his death.

Steven was a big presence and lit up a room with his boisterous laugh and smile that he always wore. Not having children of his own, he stepped into the role as stepfather to Johnnieanns daughter and raised her as if she was his own. Steven was a big kid and had a playful personality. He loved games, music, movies and concerts and shared that love with his daughter and grandchildren. His fun loving side showed in his long going "birthday card" war with his sister both doing their best to "one up" one another with the most outrageous or ridiculous birthday card every year.

Steven was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, friend and provider. He was selfless and put others' needs before his own. He loved ferrets and was the best human Dad to 12 little weasels over the past 27 years.

Survived by his wife, Johnnieann, daughter, grand children, his sisters, Donna Wasson, Sueann Waller and Sherry Honeysuckle, brothers, Benny Owen and Lynn Massey, numerous nieces and nephews and extended family. Preceded in death by his Mom and Dad, Jean and Bobby Massey.

A private memorial with interment will be held October 19, 2021 at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery with Military Honors...LLFH_D
