Joseph (Joe) Dee Evans passed away unexpectedly at his home at the age of 53. Joe was born in Fridley, Mn on April 28th 1968 and grew up in Stacy, MN. Joe moved to Harris, Mn to start his life with Jody and there is where they had their one and only son, Joey.

Joe met Jody, the love of his life, in 1986. They were together for 35 amazing years. They had one son, Joey, who was the light of Joe's life. Joe graduated from Lake Superior College and went on to be a proud member of the Carpenter's Union Local 322 for many years.

In October of 2016 Joe and Jody purchased property in Rutledge, MN. The property started out with just a pole shed and Joe worked every day to make it into his dream home for Jody and himself.

Joe enjoyed spending every spare moment that he had fishing, hunting and working on projects. Joe was the happiest when fishing with Jody, Joey, his dad (Big Joe) and many other family members and friends. Joe spent every hunting season with the same loved ones and always made sure everyone got into their deer stand before he went to his and was the first one to check on you when he heard a shot. When Joe wasn't fishing or hunting, he was always busy working on something whether it be the house, fish house, yard work or his many other projects.

Though he was only on this earth for a short time he will be remembered every day by his family and friends. Joe had a sense of humor like no other and made sure he was the center of attention at all times.

Joe is survived by his lifelong partner Jody, his son Joey (Shanna), parents Pat and Joe Flor, siblings Jim and Julie and many other friends and family who he loved spending time with.

Joe will forever be missed by so many and his memories will be cherished forever.

Forever in our hearts.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Joe at Dresser-Methven Funeral Home, 124 Maple Avenue East, Mora, MN on Saturday, October 16, 2021 from 1 pm to 3 pm.
