After graduating from MCHS, in 1964, he proudly served in the United States Navy from 1964 until 1970. He then went to work for Miller Testing Service, Harrison Well Service for thirteen years, and then retired from the City of Mount Carmel Waste Water Treatment Plant after twenty-five years of service. He enjoyed reading, especially westerns, he also enjoyed feeding the birds, camping. He served on the board of directors at Conservation Lake in Mount Carmel. He loved playing gator ball with one of his grandsons.
His memory is cherished by his wife, Anita; sons, Jimmy (Shawna) Kevin (Mandi) and Scottie; daughter, Kathie (Doug); eleven grandchildren; brother, Don; sister, Debbie; several other beloved family members and friends.
