Hall of Fame Professional Tennis Player. He will be remembered for his capturing the both the French and Wimbledon Championships in 1950 and achieved a number one ranking in the sport. Born Edward John Patty, he was raised in Southern California where he attended Los Angeles High School. During the course of his career, he won 76 titles and amassed a 378 win, 107 loss record. He was a member of the 1951 US Davis Cup Team. He was inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame in 1977.
