Funeral services for Mr. William "Bill" Horn, of Wrightsville, Georgia, will be held on Saturday, October 9, 2021, at 10 AM, at the graveside in the Mount Pleasant AME Church Cemetery, 358 Bill Oliver Road in Wrightsville. Reverend Amos Darrisaw will deliver the eulogy.

William Horn, affectionately known as "Bill", was born as the eighth child born to John and Agnes Horn on Sunday, November 20, 1938, in Coatopa, Alabama. Early in life, he moved to Miami, Florida where he met, and married on March 21, 1960, the love of his life, Vallene Hicks. He was a member of the New Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Miami, Florida. He proudly served on Usher Board Number 1. He was also a proud member of Joshua Lodge #5 as a Master Mason. He is now an associate member of the Mount Pleasant AME Church since his relocation to Georgia. He was employed with several electrical warehouses as a supervisor until his health declined. He and his wife relocated to her hometown of Wrightsville, Georgia.

William Horn departed this life and gained eternal reward on Sunday, September 26, 2021, at the Intensive Care Unit at the Fairview Park Hospital in Dublin.

Mr. Horn leaves to cherish his memories, his wife of 61 years, Mrs. Vallene "Val" Hicks Horn of Wrightsville, Georgia, his daughter, Jullene (Artis) Snell of Wrightsville, a great niece who he loved dearly and raised as his granddaughter, Vanetta Norris of Miami, Florida, three great-grandchildren who lived with him in Wrightsville, Paris, Londyn, and Italy Snell, two sisters-in-law, Allene Arline of Wrightsville, and Grace Horn of Round Rock, Texas, four sisters, Magnolia Brown of Birmingham, Alabama, Eleenor Horn-Holiness of Decatur, Doris (Louis) Howard of Pembroke Pines, Florida, and Rosie Lee Hooks of Toluca, California, one brother, Issac Horn in Miami, Florida, grandchildren, Michelle Knight, Joyneisha Snell of Dublin, Artralian Snell of Wrightsville, Dalesk Monroe of Atlanta, a devoted cousin, James Cefus Hines, special neighbors, Mr. and Mrs. George Niblack and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends who loved "uncle Bill".
