Frances "Tomi" Anderson, 84, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at the Penn State Hampden Medical Center, with her family and pastor by her side. The widow of Marlin (Andy) Anderson, Tomi was born on April 1, 1937 in the general store owned by her father in Benfer, PA. She is also preceded in death by her parents Frank J. and Edna (Keister) Bowersox and siblings Elmer (Edna), Albert (Frances), Eugene, Cora (Andrew), Viola, Josephine (Wallace) and their spouses.

A 1956 graduate of West Snyder High School, Tomi moved to Harrisburg to attend The Thompson Business College. Upon graduation she began a nearly 40-year career as a commercial property underwriter for the Maryland Casualty Insurance Company. Tomi's faith and family were the center of her life. She was an active member of the Immanuel Christian and Missionary Alliance Church where she attended with Andy since their marriage in 1961. In recent years, she especially enjoyed her time with the Wednesday morning Women's Bible Study. Tomi was a master gardener, beach regular, avid reader, Nittany Lions fan, and fashionista extraordinaire.
