Dwight Dane Holland, the son of Dane and Connie (Dreasler) Holland, was born March 9, 1981 at Ellington, Missouri. He passed away Monday, July 5, 2021 at his home in Eminence, Missouri at the age of 40.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Arthur and Lily Holland and Jim and Ethel Dreasler; uncles, Robert Jaster, Richard Pierce, Jim Holland, Mack Holland, Clifford Holland and John Holland as well as an aunt, Carol Kinnard
Dwight is survived by his parents, Dane and Connie Holland of Eminence; his son Zachary of Eminence; a daughter; an uncle, Tom and Betty Holland of Mtn. View; aunts, Lucille Jaster and Deloris Pierce of Eminence as well as a host of cousins and friends.
Dwight enjoyed running heavy equipment and he helped build the Tom Sauk Dam. He also worked as a truck driver for a time. Later he worked as a salesman for Walker Machinery Company, where he would visit the area sawmills and sell them the supplies they needed. He made many new friends and at one place he called on, the manager would not buy a thing from him unless Dwight came into the house to drink coffee and eat a giant cinnamon roll that his wife had made.
Dwight was a fantastic cook himself and could cook anything, but when it came to the clean up afterwards, that was a different story! Dwight was an avid hunter and fisherman. He liked nothing better than to go fishing with his dad or his buddies. He made many of his own jigs to fish with and walleye fishing was definitely his favorite. His main goal was to kill the biggest buck or catch the biggest walleye! In later years his health got worse and he had to give up hunting and fishing.
Dwight had a kind heart and was always willing to help anyone in need. He has left a lot of broken hearts but we thank God he is with his Grandpa and Grandma Dreasler whom he talked about every day and wished they were still here. Rest in peace Dwight, we will see you again. Our hearts will never mend but we are thankful for the good times!
