Joe M. Coleman, Jr. entered into eternal rest on August 1, 2021 at Lane Regional Medical Center in Zachary, La. He was 48 and a resident of Baton Rouge. Joe faithfully served the parish of East Baton Rouge of as a deputy for over 21 years at the parish prison. Joe was survived by his wife of 11 years Gail Lee Coleman; parents Rev. Joe Sr and Joyce Coleman; sisters Yolonda Robinson and Corinne Coleman; Goddaughter and niece Kai Coleman; mother-in-law Gloria Lee and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, family and friends. Preceded in death by a sister Chandra Coleman Greene; Grandparents Rev. Levi Sr and Louisiana Coleman; Martha Lucas and Abram Lucas and Father-in-law Alton Lee, Jr. Visitation will be held at Rabenhorst Funeral Home 825 Government St., Baton Rouge Monday August 9, 2021 from 3-7-pm. A view will be held on August 10, 2021 at Living Faith Christian Center, 6375 Winbourne Ave., Baton Rouge from 9-10:45am with religious service following at 11am conducted by Bishop Raymond W Johnson. Interment at Greenoaks Memorial Park, 9595 Florida Blvd, Baton Rouge, LA.
