Susan Contway Keen of Lake Wales passed away Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at her residence.

She was born January 21, 1945 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Francis and Bernice Contway; she moved to Lake Wales from Detroit with her parents when she was 12. Susan was an international sales representative for Florida Natural for 39 years. She was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church where she was involved with many church activities. Susan volunteered for the All Children's Academy and was formerly the secretary for the Senior Baseball League. She was an avid FSU, Tampa Bay Rays, and Detroit Tigers fan.

Susan was preceded in death by her son, Robbie Peterson. She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Dwight Keen; sons Dale Hughes of Raiford; Dwight Keen, Jr. (Heather), daughters, Lori Freeland (Chris) of Benton, Kentucky, Tammi Reynolds of Palm Bay, Beth Spraggins (Michael) of Orlando, Ashley Garback (Mike) of South Jordan, Utah, and Anna Keen of Lake Wales; sister, Lynn Ohlinger (Wayne) of Babson Park; 15 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.

Funeral mass will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday the 14th of Oct. at the Holy Spirit

Catholic Church in Lake Wales. Visitation will be held from 6 p.m.-8p.m. Wednesday the 13th of Oct. at Marion Nelson Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, family request donations to Good Shepherd Hospice. Condolences can be sent to the family at www.marionnelsonfuneralhome.com.
