John F. Donovan Jr., of Abington, died peacefully surrounded by his loving family on October 4, 2021, at his home. He was 85. "Jack," as he was affectionately known by his family and friends, was the devoted husband of 53 wonderful years to Elizabeth " Betty". John is predeceased by his father and mother John and Agnes Donovan, and by his brother Thomas..

John grew up in Philadelphia. He attended St. John the Baptist grade and High School. He served proudly for 6 years in the United States Marine Corps. Upon his return from service he became a draftsman working for McKeon Glass and Metal retiring after 44 years. John was a dedicated Scoutmaster for Troop #81 in Philadelphia for 10 years. He enjoyed oil painting and photography. Most of all he loved being with his family. John will be greatly missed, but eternally remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend.

John is survived by his son Michael (wife Kathleen), his grandchildren; Nicole Pilson (husband Frank), Michael ( wife Ashley) Donovan, Great grandchildren; Mason, Nicholas, and soon to arrive great granddaughter Baby Girl Pilson. He will be sadly missed by his sister Mary Ann Clifford, his brother James "Jim" (wife Kass) a host of nieces and nephews, and by all who knew him.

Relatives and friends are invited to John's Life Celebration on Saturday, October 9, 2021, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., followed by his Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. at the Queen of Peace Catholic Church 820 N. Hills Ave. Glenside, PA 19038 . Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery 235 E. Matsonford Rd Conshohocken, PA, 19428.
