John grew up in Philadelphia. He attended St. John the Baptist grade and High School. He served proudly for 6 years in the United States Marine Corps. Upon his return from service he became a draftsman working for McKeon Glass and Metal retiring after 44 years. John was a dedicated Scoutmaster for Troop #81 in Philadelphia for 10 years. He enjoyed oil painting and photography. Most of all he loved being with his family. John will be greatly missed, but eternally remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend.
John is survived by his son Michael (wife Kathleen), his grandchildren; Nicole Pilson (husband Frank), Michael ( wife Ashley) Donovan, Great grandchildren; Mason, Nicholas, and soon to arrive great granddaughter Baby Girl Pilson. He will be sadly missed by his sister Mary Ann Clifford, his brother James "Jim" (wife Kass) a host of nieces and nephews, and by all who knew him.
Relatives and friends are invited to John's Life Celebration on Saturday, October 9, 2021, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., followed by his Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. at the Queen of Peace Catholic Church 820 N. Hills Ave. Glenside, PA 19038 . Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery 235 E. Matsonford Rd Conshohocken, PA, 19428.
