Jimmy Lee Lambert, age 71, died Thursday, September 9, 2021 at Caromont Regional Medical Center. Born in Mecklenburg County on January 17, 1950 he was the son of the late Jerry Christenbury and Betty Lou Lambert. Jimmy was a member of Rustic Hills Baptist Church where he played the guitar for the choir and cleaned the church. He was an outdoorsman and an avid Dale Earnhardt fan. In addition to his parents, Jimmy is preceded in death by his wife of 28 years, Margaret Lambert; and two brothers, Dennis Hempstead and Ricky Hempstead.

Jimmy is survived by; two sons, Jason Lambert and wife Crystal of Dallas and Jimmy Bryson of Belmont; two stepdaughters, Claudette Lanning of Gastonia and Tina Emory and boyfriend Jerry Hill of Landrum SC; two brothers, Eddie Lambert of Lowell and Jerry Hempstead and wife Annette of Troutman; a sister, Wanda Dewhirst of Jacksonville; Grandchildren, nine grandchildren, Brandon Psomadakis (Courtney), Kyle Hart, Victoria Hart-Elswick (Daniel), Zach Lanning (Lauren), Ashlee Warren (Dex), Brianna Brown, Madison Lambert, Justin Lambert, and Kalie Bryson; eight great grandchildren, Michael Inman, Chase, Connor and Cade Lanning, Claire Psomadakis, Jada, Ava, and Olivia Oglesby.

Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, September, 14, 2021 at 1:00pm in the chapel of A Simple Service with Rev. Andy Rains officiating. Burial will follow at Gaston Memorial Park. The family will receive friends an hour before the service from 12:00pm until 1:00pm at the funeral Home.
