Lynn Rob Olsen Dies Following Short Illness
Funeral Services Held Monday From Local Baptist Church
Funeral services for Lynn Robert Olsen, who died early Saturday morning after a two days illness of pneumonia were held on Monday afternoon from the First Baptist church at 2 o'clock following a short service at the home. Rev. O. F. Swedberg, pastor of the church officiated and was assisted by Rev. W. A. Wilkinson of the Methodist church.
A mixed quartette consisting of Mrs. O. F. Swedberg, Mrs. Marcus Christiansen, Jas A. Jensen and H. C. Kjarsgaard sang "There'll be No Disappointment in Heaven" and "Safe in the Arms of Jesus." Rev. and Mrs. Swedberg also sang a duet as a special selection.
Burial was in the local cemetery. Pall bearers were George and Frank Wilson, Alfred Weber, Ivan Fitchett, Arnold and Clifford Kjolhede.
Lynn Robert Olsen was born in Newell, Iow, June 24th 1924. Upon reaching school age he attended the Coon Center school for two years. Then sickness made it necessary for him to remain at home. And since then this handicap has continued, depriving him of many of the joys of life. He who doeth all things well called him from this life after a brief illness on February 12th about 1:30 A.M. There is much comfort in the assurance we have that in the resurrection there will be no handicap, for "He shall change this vile body that it may be like unto His glorified one."
Besides the parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Olsen he leaves to mourn his going, three brothers, Lawrence, Arnold, and Marvel; also his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Bellows, and Mr. and Mrs. Olsen as well as a large number of relative and friends. Our sincere sympathy is extended the bereaved.
