She was a member of the Fishing Creek Christian Church, had been a life resident of Washington County, was a 1950 graduate of Salem High School and was a former Miss Indiana Fire Chief. She was a retired cashier from the old IGA Grocery Store and a former employee of the Washington County Treasurer's Office. She was a member of the Salem Senior Citizens and the Euchre Club.
On July 30, 1950 she married Bert Stewart Jr., who passed away July 10, 2015.
Survivors include: 2 Sons: Rickie E. Stewart and Kevin W. (Dawn) Stewart of Salem; Sister: Carolyn Wineinger-Naugle of Salem; Grandchildren: Brad Stewart, Kellie (Rob) Carl, Kyle (Leah) Stewart, Kala (Daniel) Ponder, Richie (Elizabeth) Stewart and Robbie (Laura) Stewart and 15 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by brother, Harold Zink.
Funeral Service: 12:00 Noon Saturday at Dawalt Funeral Home, followed by interment in Crown Hill Cemetery. Visitation: 4 to 7 pm Friday and 11 am until the time of the service on Saturday.
