He was a proud member of the UAW and worked 32 1/2 years at the Ford Motor Company in St. Paul, retiring from there as an electrician in 1984. He was very fortunate to enjoy more years in retirement (36) than working!
His early retirement was spent on beautiful summer gardens and winters meeting new friends through RV travel in the Southwest. Travels then continued to Alaska, Norway, Europe and the Mexican Riviera. In his later years, he found joy in cooking his own meals, playing Scrabble, doing puzzles, and drinking coffee with donuts (he made those also!)
He was preceded in death by his parents, Osmund and Martha Frette, his siblings, Hilda, Theodore and Myrtle, his first wife, Marion Haltli Frette (49 years) and his second wife, Joan Harper Frette (5 years).
He is survived by his 4 children: Karen (Steve) Date, Wayne (Denise) Frette, LeeAnn (Tony) Nelson, and Mark (Deb) Frette, He also leaves 9 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A brief graveside service will be held for immediate family.
