David G. Derr, 91 of Massillon, passed away on September 13, 2021 at Danbury Senior Living.
He was born on March 11, 1930 in Canton.
David was a veteran serving in the Marines. He was a retired from Central Trust where he was a bank manager. He was a member of the Moose, Sons and Daughters of Herman, and The Boys and Girls Club.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Janis L. Derr; his son, Robert Knerr; his parents, Raymond Derr and Grace Schmidt-Derr; and his brother, Richard Derr.
David is survived by his children: Victoria A. Derr, Alice K. Nodo, Rhonda Robinson, and Gerry Knerr; his grandchildren: Scott Robinson, Amy Robinson, Danielle Knerr, Brett Knerr, Mitchell Webster, and Jherod Bauders; eight great-grandchildren; and his brother, Raymond Derr.
The celebration of life services will be held at the Sons and Daughters of Herman, 1994 Deermont Ave NW, Massillon, OH. The internment services will be held at Brookfield Cemetery in Massillon.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Boys and Girls Club, 730 Duncan St SW, Massillon, OH 44647 or Danbury Bingo, 2550 University Dr SE, Massillon, OH 44646.
