Lena Earle of Sharon died on Nov. 16 at the age of 95. Beloved wife of the late Gordon R. Earle. Loving Mother of Gordon R. Earle Jr. and his wife Karen of Sharon. Grandmother of Courtney, Gordon R. III, and Lauren Earle all of Sharon. Sister of the late Ovidio Fornaciari and the late Charlotte Deltano. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Having grown up in Sharon during the days when horse drawn carriages graced our town's center, and the Wilbur School was the High School, Lena was a member of the 1930 graduating class. Her early achievements included being captain of the Girls Basketball Team, singing the lead role as an Indian Princess in the Senior Class operetta and earning a Jr. Life Saver status at Lake Massapoag.

Before marrying in 1953, she was employed in the Accounting department of Sears Roebuck & Company; worked as an Internal Auditor at Firestone Tire & Rubber and as a Full charge Bookkeeper at Tobe Deutschman.

Having spent the better part of her 95 years as a Sharon resident, most will remember Lena as one of the towns' original Real Estate Brokers. She faithfully served Sharon and the surrounding communities for 27 years. With her reassuring smile and contagious enthusiasm she helped many young couples overcome their fears and navigate the financial challenges of buying their first home. Lena represented one-half of the husband/wife tandem known as Earle & Earle Realty. Their slogan aptly identified them as "The Realtors with a Heart" and they faithfully lived their company motto "we're proud to say HI long after you BUY." Among her many Real Estate achievements, she was a past President of the I&M Council of the Greater Boston Real Estate Board and Chairperson of Make America Better.
