Gertie was a resident of Lindsay all of her life. She loved her family and loved being around them. In fact she loved everybody and everything! Gertie enjoyed going to the casinos and watching television. She liked to cook and watch cooking shows. She enjoyed drinking coffee and Dr. Pepper. Gertie loved animals and they were all her "friends". She loved Jesus and watching the Swaggarts on television. Music was also a passion of hers and "Achy Breaky Heart" was her favorite song. Gertie attended church at The House. She will dearly missed by all who knew her.
Survivors include her brothers: Dewey and Melissa Rouse of Lindsay; Larry and Gayla Rouse; Bill Densmore of Ninnekah; Bobby and Margie Rouse of Hydro; Jaybo and Amy Rouse of Maysville; Paul Rouse of Elmore City; Tony Rouse and Tonya Marcuccio of Lindsay; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents, George Dewey and Billie Ann Rouse; sister, Rebecca Densmore; and brother, Curtis Don Rouse.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, October 9, 2021 at the Erin Springs Baptist Church, Erin Springs, OK with Bro. Richard Newton officiating. Burial will be in the Erin Springs Cemetery under the direction of John W. Williams of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville, OK.
