HARTFORD CITY, Glenda Sue McDonald, "Sue" 76, went to be with her Lord and Savior on September 30, 2021 at her Daughter Donna's home in North Carolina.
Sue was born to Elmer M. Wine and Eva Marie (Fisher) Wine - Houseman on October 14, 1944 in Hartford City. Both parents preceded her in death.
She was a graduate of Hartford City High School in 1962 and was in the National Honor Society and on the Retro Committee.
Sue married Jerry Dean McDonald on November 2, 1962 in Hartford City. Jerry preceded her in death on April 1, 2009.
Sue retired from the Blackford County School System where she worked in the food services for many years. She was very active in the Hartford City First Church of the Nazarene, serving both on the church board as well as helping arrange funeral dinners. If you saw Sue out it was almost certain you would see her with her sister and best friend Faye.
Sue will be sadly missed by her Children; Donna Sue (Husband, Ronald E.) Simmons of Pinnacle, N.C., Deanna Lynn (Husband, Michael L. Sr.) Hammond of Nobelsville, Brian Dean "Mac" McDonald of Hartford City, her 6 Granchildren; Tiffany Vallad, Michael Hammond Jr. Candace McDonald, Tara O'Connell, Kara A. McDonald, Austin McDonald, 4 Great Grandchildren; Jasmine Woodard, Jayden Vallad, Julian Santizo, Kaiden Clevenger, Her Siblings; Faydel "Faye" (Husband, Jack) McDonald of Hartford City, Elmer M. "Butch" (Wife, Sue) Wine of Jacksonville, FL.
She is preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, a Grand Son; Tony Vallad, and a Brother; William L. Wine.
Services for Sue will be Friday October 8, 2021 at Keplinger Funeral Home 509 N. High St. Hartford City, IN 47348 at 11:00 am and burial will immediately follow at the Hartford City Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday October 7, 2021 at Keplinger Funeral Home from 3-7 and on Friday from 10-11. Pastor Steve High will be officiating.
Memorials may be made to The Hartford City First Church of the Nazarene, 1402 W Water St, Hartford City, IN 47348.
